IP Ready™ Products
Videolarm's IP Ready™ line offers the flexibility and benefits of network video surveillance with an array of housing fixtures, state-of-the-art camera systems and wireless power boxes .
Benefits – Network Video Surveillance
Video Network Surveillance (VNS) is the next-gen of CCTV video security. VNS systems communicate through a shared high-speed medium, generally consisting of computers, printers, and internet. Each device in the network communicates by means of Ethernet cabling.
Communication through Ethernet provides: high-speed data rates, scalability with multiple cameras and other hardware devices, ease of installation, accessibility by multiple viewers and minimal cost over analog installs.
IP Network Cameras vs Analog
Standard analog CCTV cameras are routed through a network mesh of analog cable then connected to multiplexer, DVR and finally a monitor. This structure tends to be very costly to install and extremely cumbersome to maintain and update.
With an IP camera, you can now simply connect to your local network by use of Ethernet cabling and communicate directly to a Network Video Recorder or Computer. This simply communication path/installation eliminates the use of multiple wires per camera and the need of a multiplexer and DVR.
Videolarm's IP Ready™ series addresses the benefits of a Video Network Surveillance System, by offering IP enabled cameras, power boxes, and IP Camera compatible housings.

Case Study – IP Ready™ Series
Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ)
In Kentucky, wireless and video network solutions are driving a large-scale juvenile facilities project to help ensure a safe environment for the youth committed to the state’s Department of Juvenile Justice while providing increased accountability and protection of facility staff.
The surveillance challenge of many juvenile facilities lies in the open
spaces which are difficult to monitor, such as ball fields or recreational
areas. In the past, such areas were considered either cost-prohibitive or
too physically challenging to cover with surveillance. Videolarm's IP Ready?
Series meets the challenge by reaching out to the equipment, allowing the
camera to securely transmit its video stream back to central storage.
